We're not even into spring, and Kickball suffers its first injury from one its most precious...
Just got back from Methodist Hospital, located on 7th Avenue and 7th Street in Park Slope. Our Head Cheeleader, and my bicycling pal, Sasha Alcott, just got into a considerably awful bicycle accident. While crossing over the Brooklyn Bridge, some dumbass - too stupid to know which lane is for walking and which is for pedaling - caused her head and shoulder to crash into the side. Fortunately, she wears her helmet religiously, to protect her precious brain, but her right shoulder is out of commission for a few weeks. Good thing she's a Southpaw. So, she's on the DL, but as she's probably the most positive person I've ever met, she'll be riding her special bike over to McCarren Park for Easter's Opening Day.
Get well soon, Goofyface. Not only am I getting that bike fixed, but I think it may need an accessory or two!
