Let's Save the World...with KickBall?

We're not even into spring, and Kickball suffers its first injury from one its most precious...
Just got back from Methodist Hospital, located on 7th Avenue and 7th Street in Park Slope. Our Head Cheeleader, and my bicycling pal, Sasha Alcott, just got into a considerably awful bicycle accident. While crossing over the Brooklyn Bridge, some dumbass - too stupid to know which lane is for walking and which is for pedaling - caused her head and shoulder to crash into the side. Fortunately, she wears her helmet religiously, to protect her precious brain, but her right shoulder is out of commission for a few weeks. Good thing she's a Southpaw. So, she's on the DL, but as she's probably the most positive person I've ever met, she'll be riding her special bike over to McCarren Park for Easter's Opening Day.
Get well soon, Goofyface. Not only am I getting that bike fixed, but I think it may need an accessory or two!
Well, here we go. This is the first full season of Brooklyn Kickball! Although the idea is very cool, the main reason is to ensure people getting together and having fun. If you don't see your good friend all week, because she's too busy, if your brother's estanged, or if your clique has been dissipating, then kickball is great chance to bond and strengthen your friendships. Also, you can make many new friends along the way, perhaps even a lover.
We have one big rule: have fun, and never take the game too seriously. Yes, we'll have umpires, and yes, there may be disputes, but all goingson will be about fun. If you're a dick, or too competitive, don't come: try out for the Yankees or the MetroStars. We wanna have fun.
Opening Day is Easter Night, April 11th. We hope that all going home to Mom can be back in Williamsburg by 6ish. 6 is a liberal start, so no need to race through the city like you're Chevy Chase trying to save the Pope.
