Kickball Standings, For Your Amusement
This will be fun...and hopefully not too narcissistic. To all you nerdy or obsessive types, here's comes da math:
Winning Percentage = ((Mercy Wins * 1.5)+ Wins + (Ties / 2)) / Games Played.
Games Played = Mercy Wins + Wins + Losses + (Mercy Losses * 1.5) + Ties
Thanks to everyone for cooperating last night, with dutiful umpiring and garbage collecting. Big ups goes to Damien of La Resistance for manning the Outhouse, and a Super Big Ups goes to Kirk Wells, of our Umpiring/Good Will Crew, for running the evening from start to finish. He did a perfect job, with Southernly class and grace.
The Champion Commitments defeated the Mellancamps, 2-0, and the New Frontiersmen bounced back with 2 wins. Good to see Prison having fun with their opponents. The Pirates finally won a game! But then the Continentals mercied them. Blarg. Looks like someone should challenge the Unmentionables and the Wrecking Crew.
Random Thought: I wish you kids would learn the Infield Fly Rule. If we have tagging up, then we should implement that rule. However, every time we try, chaos ensues.
I trust everyone likes the new scheduling and queue system. No more lines and hastles at the Queue Board, ever! Check here to see if your team is playing this Sunday, and team matchups will be posted here, every week, hopefully by Wednesday.
Beautiful Day. Few complaints, lotta laughs, lotta drinks, and a lot of, "Hey are you the Commish? Do you know if....", or, "Have you thought of...", or, "Where can I get a...." Nights like last night make me feel like I'm the father of some hideous bride. But I'm happy you all had a good time. Sorry the sound system blew out, I mostly feel badly for my brother schlepping from Jersey's burbs to sing through some defective speakers.
The Mellencamps are where they always were, first, and the Pirates still suck. But the Commitments have challenged the JCMs. My money would be on the Commitments, but I've taken the wise approach to ban gambling, as some of you petty fucks would take a dive for a Pabst.
I really wanna see the Pirates play the Dolls. Oh, there's a special new rule for the Dolls: in order to mercy-rule them, a team must beat them by 20. Yesterday, Kickball Fever whined about this on-the-fly-rule, so we let it end after 14 runs. But 20 is now the number. No worries, everyone wins when you play da Dolls.
I'm proud the two Malones spinoffs are doing well. Stay cool.
Note: this Sunday commences the most fun ever: the bye week system. Stay tuned here, or check with your captain.
Many cities have shown interest in playing in our 3rd annual tournament. What is the format? Well, that depends on the amount of teams. What we know for sure that this will be a rocking day, with many musical performances representing many genres. We also know there is no cost. Furthermore, we ask all Brooklyn players to help out and let our travlin' guests stay at their place:
